Product Details

Ultra compact surfaces (UCS) such as Dekton, Lapitec and Neolith can quickly wear out standard routers. Developed specifically for these materials, the Neon Router features a standard end segment, making it ideal for cut outs, rebates and general machining applications.

Using our specialised Neon bond, reinforced steel core and internal water feed design, it delivers reliable performance and consistent cutting across ceramic, porcelain and ultra compact surfaces.

The 10mm diameter version is designed as a clean up router for creating tighter internal corners on sink, hob and socket cut outs. It is intended for finishing work and light stock removal of up to 1.5mm, making it ideal for cleaning up areas that larger diameter routers cannot reach. The 10mm router should not be used as an incremental router.

Technical Features

  • Specialised Neon Line UCS Bond Engineered for ceramic and ultra compact surfaces, the Neon Line bond continuously exposes fresh diamond particles to maintain cutting performance and reduce glazing throughout the life of the tool.

  • Reinforced Core Construction Strong steel core designed to minimise flex during cutting, helping maintain straight cuts and consistent results during sink cut outs, hob cut outs and other high stress machining operations.

  • 1/2 Inch Gas Fitting Available with a standard 1/2 inch gas connection, making it suitable for many of the CNC machines commonly used throughout the stone industry.

  • Internal Water Feed Design Internal water channels deliver coolant directly to the cutting edge, helping clear debris from the cut, reduce heat build up and maintain consistent machining performance on ultra compact surfaces.

  • Optimised Cutting Geometry Engineered to balance cutting speed and edge quality, helping produce clean, accurate results across a range of machining applications.

Tool Application Style

  • Designed for Ultra Compact Surface Cut Outs Developed specifically for machining all types of cut outs in ultra compact surfaces, delivering clean, accurate results across a wide range of fabrication applications.

  • Bulk Material Removal Designed for fast and efficient material removal when machining rebates and recessed areas. The standard end segment allows the router to continue cutting on the face and base of the rebate, helping maximise productivity during larger machining operations.

Application Constraints Warning

The Neon Routers are precision instruments designed specifically for ultra-compact surfaces and sintered materials; do not use them on soft, highly abrasive natural stones like sandstone or low-density marbles, as the abrasive stone will prematurely erode the specialized matrix and strip away the diamond life. Additionally, never run these routers dry or exceed the maximum recommended feed velocity into UCS slabs, as overloading the core will instantly glaze the diamonds and fracture the material.
