Product Details
Recognisable by its distinctive purple finish, the Mighty Flash Router is one of our premium production tools. Designed for rapid material removal, it excels at sink cut outs, hob cut outs, profiling, rebates and general CNC machining operations.
The integrated end segment allows the router to machine rebates and reach internal corners, making it an ideal first stage tool for rebated hob and sink applications. When used alongside the Flash Incremental Router, it provides an efficient combination of fast stock removal and clean, accurate finishing.
Technical Features
-
Specialised Flash Line Purple Bond: The specialised bond formulation is designed to cope with the abrasive nature of engineered quartz and the varying hardness of natural granite, providing dependable cutting performance throughout the life of the tool.
-
Active Bottom End-Segment: Features a dedicated end segment for machining rebates, refining internal corners and reaching areas that can be difficult to access with a standard router profile, helping to reduce machining time and improve overall efficiency.
-
Vibration-Dampening Core: Engineered to absorb high lateral mechanical shocks during rapid directional changes, ensuring straight vertical cuts and an incredibly smooth sidewall finish.
-
High-Efficiency Internal Water Channels: Designed with an optimized internal cooling system to ensure maximum water delivery right at the cutting edge and the bottom tip, flushing out stone slurry instantly from the cut path.
Tool Application Style
-
Granite & Quartz Fabrications: Suitable for a wide range of CNC fabrication tasks including perimeter profiling, sink cut outs, hob cut outs, rebates, worktops, island panels and vanity tops in granite and engineered quartz.
-
Versatile Sink & Cooktop Cut outs: Suitable for full depth cutting and step cutting operations. For harder granite and engineered quartz materials, 2 to 3 incremental Z-axis passes are recommended to help reduce spindle load, improve tool stability and maintain consistent cutting performance.
Application Constraints Warning
The Flash Line has been developed specifically for granite and engineered quartz. For ultra compact surfaces (UCS), porcelain and other highly vitrified materials, a dedicated router designed for those applications is recommended.
A continuous supply of clean water must be maintained throughout the machining process. Adequate water flow helps keep the tool cool, remove slurry from the cutting area and support consistent cutting performance while maximising tool life.
