Product Details
Ultra compact surfaces (UCS) such as Dekton, Lapitec and Neolith require tooling specifically designed for their dense and highly abrasive composition. Maintaining clean internal corners, rebates and detailed machining operations can be challenging when using tooling developed for more traditional stone materials.
The Neon Incremental Router range has been developed specifically for these applications. Finished in its distinctive neon green colour, it uses our specialised bond formulation developed for our Neon range, providing reliable performance on ultra compact surfaces and sintered materials. The incremental cutting design provides controlled material removal, making it ideal for rebates, internal radii, LED strip channels and sink cut outs. Suitable for use on CNC machines and bridge saws fitted with a router gearbox.
Technical Features
-
Neon Bond Formula: Designed for ultra compact surfaces and sintered materials, helping to maintain cutting performance and reduce glazing on demanding materials.
-
Incremental Stress Distribution: Designed to remove material in highly efficient vertical steps, protecting the CNC spindle from lateral overload and preventing micro fractures in the slab.
-
Calibrated Size Configurations: Offered in specific diameters and heights tailored to handle intricate corners as well as maximum slab depths:
-
Diameters: Available in 8mm, 10mm, and 15mm for tight internal corner profiling and rapid pocketing.
-
Working Heights: Available in 25mm, 45mm, and 70mm configurations to effortlessly clear standard or built-up laminated slab thicknesses.
-
-
Accurate Tool Alignment: Built on a precision ground steel shank to support smooth machining performance and consistent results throughout the cutting process.
Tool Application Style
-
Detailed Machining Applications: Designed for tight internal corners, sink and hob rebates, socket cut outs, underside LED strip channels and other precision machining operations in ultra compact surfaces and sintered materials.
-
Precision Routing: Designed for detailed machining where accuracy, clean corners and consistent results are essential.
Application Guidelines
NEVER operate the Neon Incremental Router without a continuous supply of clean water. Adequate water flow helps keep the tool cool, remove slurry from the cutting area and maintain consistent machining performance.
When machining ultra compact surfaces and sintered materials, material should be removed in controlled Z-axis passes rather than a single deep cut. This helps reduce load on the tooling and spindle while maintaining accuracy, edge quality and overall tool life.
