Twirl Pads

The Twirl Pads have been developed to provide fabricators with a versatile solution for both surface polishing and preparation work. Suitable for use on CNC machines and monohead polishers, they perform effectively on quartz, ultra compact surfaces (UCS), porcelain, natural stone and engineered materials.

Their open segment design promotes smooth, consistent contact during polishing, helping to achieve a uniform finish while reducing the risk of visible polishing lines. The same aggressive diamond structure also makes the pads highly effective for removing fibreglass mesh, backing materials, adhesive residue and manufacturing marks from the underside of slabs. This combination of polishing and preparation capabilities helps reduce tooling changes and improve productivity throughout the fabrication process.

Technical Features

• Universal Multi-Material Bond: Formulated with a hybrid diamond matrix engineered to process hard ceramics, porcelain, sintered stone, quartz, granite, and marble with equal efficiency.

• Dual-Action Functionality: Universally balanced to transition seamlessly from delicate, high-gloss surface polishing on face profiles to aggressive, high-friction stripping on slab backings.

• Self-Cleaning Twirl Geometry: Features a curved, swirling channel layout that uses centrifugal force to continuously eject sticky mesh residues, epoxy glues, and stone powder, keeping the pad free from clogging.

• Fiberglass & Netting Eradication: Engineered to shred through back nesting nets, safety meshes, and factory print lettering on the reverse of porcelain sheets without fracturing the material’s edge.

Tool Application Style

• Backside Slab Prep: The go to solution for removing stabilising meshes and back nesting nets before mitring or gluing ceramic and sintered stone countertops.

• CNC and Monohead Applications: Developed for CNC machines and mono head polishers, providing effective surface polishing, underside preparation and removal of fibreglass mesh, adhesive residue and manufacturing marks.

The Twirl Pad series features a comprehensive grit progression, including an ultra-coarse #30D (Diamond) grit dedicated to heavy stock removal and stripping tasks, moving all the way to an optical grade finish:
