Product Details

CNC cones play a critical role in maintaining accuracy, stability and tool performance throughout the fabrication process. A high quality cone ensures the tool is held securely in the spindle, helping to minimise vibration, improve finish quality and reduce unnecessary wear on both tooling and machine components.

Our CNC cone range is available in both ISO40 and HSK formats to suit a wide variety of CNC machines. We offer a comprehensive selection of fittings including 1/2″ Gas, 22mm bore, 35mm bore and 50mm flange options, available in multiple heights to suit different tooling requirements. For workshops looking to maximise machine performance, we also offer the patented ZarGas cone system, designed to improve tool stability and optimise production efficiency.

Technical Features

  • Universal Machine Compatibility: Precision-ground to lock flawlessly into leading CNC machine spindles, ensuring absolute concentricity, zero runout, and perfect tool alignment.

  • Dual Spindle Profiles (ISO40 & HSK): Available in both traditional ISO40 taper interfaces and high-speed HSK configurations to align perfectly with your machine’s spindle engineering.

  • Comprehensive Fitting Configurations: Offered in an array of standard connection profiles to hold any specialised tool in your catalogue:

    • 1/2″ Gas Connection: Standard internal threading for foundational milling and profiling bits.

    • 22mm & 35mm Bores: Available in various heights to securely accommodate modular routing and grinding wheels.

    • 50mm Flange Mounts: Built for rigid, high-stability face-mounting of profiling tools.

  • Patented ZarGas Technology Option: Features Zares’ patented cone design, engineered to dramatically suppress vibration harmonics, stabilize the tool path, and elevate throughput by up to 30%.

  • Anti-Corrosive High-Tensile Steel: Fabricated from premium, hardened alloy steel treated to resist the highly corrosive, water-saturated environments of automated stone fabrication.

Tool Application Style

  • High-Speed CNC Milling & Profiling: Designed to rigidly secure calibration wheels, router bits, and profiling wheels during complex kitchen worktop cut outs and edge detailing.

  • Automated Production Optimisation: The ZarGas system is ideally suited to high production environments where productivity, tool life and minimising machine downtime are important. By improving tool stability within the spindle, it helps support consistent machining performance throughout the fabrication process.

CNC Operational & Handling Guidelines

Because automated CNC machining functions via precise mechanical tracking under immense structural forces, operators must follow these handling rules:

  • Spindle Taper Cleanliness Protocol: Always verify that both the machine spindle and the cone taper (ISO40/HSK) are completely free of stone slurry, grit, or mineral scale before loading. A single particle of dust trapped on the taper face will induce runout, damaging both the stone edge and your spindle bearings.

  • Height & Bore Calibration Verification: Ensure the chosen tool holder height correctly matches the machine’s software profile. When utilising the 22mm or 35mm bore setups, guarantee that locking nuts are torqued to factory specifications to eliminate any lateral tool slippage during rapid material entry.

  • ZarGas System Optimisation: When running the patented ZarGas system, machine feed rates and spindle speeds should be adjusted to take full advantage of the potential 30% increase in performance. Always ensure operating parameters remain within the recommended limits of the diamond tool being used to maintain safe operation, consistent finish quality and reliable tooling performance.

Application Constraints Warning

NEVER force an ISO40 tool holder into an HSK-dedicated spindle, or vice versa, as attempting to bridge mismatched spindle standards will cause catastrophic damage to the CNC spindle assembly. Furthermore, ensure that tool holders specified for wet operation are never run dry or without adequate internal/external coolant flow; extreme friction heat will warp the precision tolerances of the steel core and permanently compromise tool accuracy.
